The Young Professional Rotary Club of Cochrane is a team of like minded young professionals who through Rotary are eager to connect, cultivate relationships, and contribute meaningfully to the people of the Bow Valley.
Last year, in hopes to lift the spirits of Cochranites and fundraise for our local community, we hosted a series of Drive In Movie events. Together, with the tremendous sponsorship and support from various community businesses and the citizens of Cochrane, we were able to raise $60,000.00 in our inaugural year.
As a result of the COVID pandemic, our local food bank in Cochrane was overwhelmed and desperately needed to expand their facility. The $60,000.00 contribution was the final financial support they needed to complete that project. Today that expansion is already helping the Cochrane Activettes food bank serve more families in need and will have a lasting effect for years to come.
By donating to efforts of the YPRC, you can trust your contributions go towards reputable, local organizations meeting the acute needs of the citizens of the Bow Valley in the realms of food, housing, youth programs, community infrastructure and all other community initiatives of wellbeing.

Making an Impact
Proceeds from this year's event will be donated to the Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park Kids Summer Camp Programs as well as the Rocky Mountain Rotary Foundation.
Our partnership with GRPP is making it possible for more children to attend summer camps, to learn about the history of the Bow Valley region, how to help care for our shared land all while cultivating life-long leadership skills and creating lasting friendships. Participants will arrive and set up their outhouses near Mackays Ice Cream. Feel free to grab a spot along the street to get a good view of the action!

The races kick off with team introductions by our lively MCs. Get ready for some thrilling heats as teams compete to win!

Halftime Entertainment & Raffle

Park on 2nd Ave by Cochrane Coffee Traders and unload your outhouse. Head over to Mackays Ice Cream to set up your team’s spot.

Make sure your outhouse is ready to race! Listen for instructions from the MCs and be prepared to line up for the heats.

Parking: Spectators and participants can find parking along 2nd Ave and nearby public lots.

Food & Drinks: Enjoy a variety of food trucks located near "Sunny Side Up" and 1st Ave.

Safety & Emergency: Emergency access routes will remain open throughout the event. Please follow the guidance of event staff.

OUTHOUSE REGISTRATION
Registration Fee: By Donation.
Donation cheques will be presented and recognized during the event.
Free admission for all spectators, Invite your friends and family to cheer on your team! Awards will be given out in the categories of 'Fastest' & 'Funniest'.
Funds raised during the Great Outhouse Races will be collected by the Rocky Mountain Rotary Club of Cochrane and distributed to organizations in need within our community.
